More GAZA events in Cardiff


150,000 people marched on the Israeli Embassy on Saturday, joining demonstrators
across the world, more events are planned in Cardiff. Thousands of pounds for
urgent humanitarian aid for Gaza has also been raised in South Wales, if you
want to help out - in whatever way - get in contact!

STOP THE MASSACRE IN GAZA
FREEDOM FOR PALESTINE

Wednesday 14 February at 7.30 pm, Main Building, Cardiff University
Park Place

Speakers include EHAB BESSAISO, Palestinian Journalist from Gaza.

Ehab Bessaiso is a Palestinian writer and poet born in Gaza. Involved in media
studies in the Arab world, he has contributed widely to literary events and
publications in the UK and Palestine. A collection of his poetry 'The Albatross
of the Blurred Skyline' was published in Beirut in 2004. He will be joined by
local anti-war activists to discuss what's going on in Palestine, the background
to the conflict, and what we can do to stop it.

Please bring people, placards, drums, posters etc. We need to keep the pressure
up.

TWO SIDES - ONE STORY: GUANTANAMO FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE WIRE

Wednesday 4 February at 7 pm, Cardiff University (Full details to be announced
shortly)

Cardiff Stop the War Coalition and other organisations will be hosting this
major human rights conference. Guantanamo Bay stands as one of the most potent
symbols of unlawful detention in the world today. The detention of suspected
terrorists at the prison camps has evoked emotion from those seeking its closure
and continuance. This event brings those on opposite sides of wire at Guantanamo
together for the first time.
